A security protocol has been lifted at a high school in east Regina as police continue to investigate a possible threat.

F.W. Johnson Collegiate was put in “secure-the-building” mode after police were notified of the potential threat around 10:15 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the possible threat stems from a “rather vague” comment made during a conversation. The person alleged to have made the threatening comment has been identified and located by police. The school was searched as part of the investigation, but police say nothing out of the ordinary was found.

There’s no word on whether any charges will be laid.
