Regina police are investigating after a possible threat was received at F. W. Johnson Collegiate.

Security was increased at a Regina high school Thursday morning after a potential threat was received, police said.

Police learned of the threat at F.W. Johnson Collegiate at 400 Fines Dr. around 10:15 a.m. CST. Police said it was a comment in a conversation.

The school was put into secure-the-building mode, which means the entries and exits are locked people are checked before they can leave or enter. Activities inside the school continue.

Police confirmed more officers headed Thursday morning to another location to determine if the potential threat is credible, and if any other action is required.
